BROCKWELL PARK SURESTART

The refurbishment of an existing One O’clock club located in Brockwell Park in Brixton. The open area to the Club was re-designed as a garden for the new all day Surestart Centre for parents, carers and children. An array of mounds created an exciting undulating area for under-fives with an orchard, a story-telling area and a light and shade area in a willow tunnel. Enclosure by a perimeter native hedge which screened the fencing, created a secure garden and improved the habitat quality from that of the existing surrounding grass sward.
