PARADISE STREET
A new rooftop garden for housing in the heart of one of the UK’s largest inner city redevelopment sites in Liverpool.
Opening up the roof area to create a contemporary urban garden, enables resident’s direct access to their homes on the 1st and 2nd floors. The garden has high quality seats, lighting, bicycle storage and planting. We used a restrained materials palette of green and black slate and Portland stone paving juxtaposed with sedum planting inserts, metal cor-ten planters and black pebbles. The planting were chosen for their foliage and durability and native plants selected were designed to attract insects and birds to the centre of the city.
