PORTSMOUTH UNIVERSITY
Masterplanning within the historic part of a campus of disparate university buildings. A detailed study of the physical connections and pedestrian circulation between existing buildings and streets in the locality. Urban design to create a coherent sequence of external space which draws together and connects up public squares and streets in a legible manner. The local vernacular is used to present a recognisable signature throughout the area and to re-enforce and re-state the importance of the nineteenth century buildings.
