SHEERNESS SURESTART

A Surestart project for a New Children and Family Centre within the existing Rose Street Primary school at Sheerness. The new buildings provide a nursery, family centre and doctors’ surgery, with associated specific gardens. The project is designed to be sustainable and the environmental design combines the landscape and architecture to form a holistic approach and to create a beneficial micro-climate. Focus groups from each user group were established and design workshops undertaken for the overall-site and individual gardens.
