The masterplan for this part of Lawrence Road in Tottenham, in the London Borough of Haringey, which is located in an area that is undergoing significant regeneration.
The scheme provides a mix of housing and commercial premises for smaller start up businesses with a mixed-use, street fronting ‘city block’ and rear residential mews. Courtyards provide sunlight and daylight within the development as well as creating a variety of opportunities for types of landscape character and for social meeting within the communal spaces. The courtyards are densely planted to create a sense of green space and an oasis in the heart of an urban quarter, off a busy main road and to increase the porosity across the site. Trees and seasonal planting create interest all year.
