The master planning for Chiva-Som International’s first European venture, located outside the town of Torres Novas, 80km to the north of Lisbon.  The 70 hectare site is part of an historic estate with a traditional Castelo and fine original gardens and parterres which is set in land with agricultural and ecological importance that has protected status.

A series of gardens are planned to augment the formality of the original grounds. The additional land will be used for a variety of holistic activities to complement those of the spa.

A natural swimming pond, flower gardens and the growing of organic vegetables and fruit will be included. The spa recycles water, grey water and waste through a ‘living’ machine located on the site.
