Undertaken as part of a planning application this appraisal was concerned primarily with the changes resulting from the upgrade of an MOD RADAR facility. The proposed development although modest in size is in a highly prominent location on Portland, Dorset and is visible from the Dorset AONB, The Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and other sensitive and designated landscapes.
